Course Overview:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Awareness examines the importance of PPE as a means of protecting individuals from workplace hazards and describes the types of PPE which may be used in the workplace.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

Define the term “personal protective equipment” and recognize PPE as one of a variety of safety strategies used to protect individuals from workplace hazards
Identify the types of PPE that may be used in the workplace
Understand how articles of clothing can function as PPE
Describe the types of PPE used to protect feet, hands, eyes, facial area and head
Explain how the proper use of earplugs and ear muffs can protect against hearing loss
Describe the various PPE options for respiratory protection
Know what PPE devices and systems can protect workers from falling
Recognize the importance of properly cleaning and maintaining PPE

Evaluation Process:

At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants that do not achieve 100% can review the module content and try as many times as necessary to complete the course. Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank, making each test unique.

Upon successfully completing all modules, there is a printable certificate for your records.
